Growing up I always loved Anne of Green Gables. She was an adolescent red head that I identified very well with. One story in particular from that show always stuck with me as a favorite – the Lady of Shalott. In the show, Anne covers herself in flowers and gets pushed out into the river, not knowing there is a hole in the bottom of her boat, and fittingly is rescued by her love.  I wanted to do a photo shoot with aspects of this scene, which I loved so much, but with my own ideas incorporated throughout. The Beautiful actor Jesse Stanley agreed to step in as my Lady, and on one of the hottest days this summer, we drove out to the beautiful Boar & Chick Farm and set the scene. Using their pond, boat and unbelievably beautiful back property, Jesse and I created some of the most amazing photos I’ve photographed so far. I’m so thrilled to share these with everyone, and so happy I was able to make one of my favorite childhood stories come to life!

Enjoy, The Lady of Shalott ☼
